Motosurf World Cup: waiting for the new season
The 2022 motosurf competition season is over, and now we are looking forward to the new year. Let's remember what this season was like and in what stunning locations the competitions were held.
This year the UIM MotoSurf World Championship took place in 4 various countries: Czech Republic, Mexico, Italy and Croatia.
It all started at the end of May in the Czech Republic. The Stock class, a category for unmodified motorized surfboards, led to super-tense racing, with a young racer from Meximo Ayrton Eboli at the top of the field.
Then the MotoSurf World Championship showed up in Cancun, Mexico for the first time in history. 59 riders from all around the world competed at the beautiful venue of Marina Puerto Cancun. The championship brought there 5 racing classes in total – the Open Class, Women Class, Junior Class, Stock and Stock R class.
From Mexico the Championship returned to Europe. The third round took place in the magnificent Italian region of Apulia, where the port of Rodi Garganico hosted the first ever MotorSurf World Championship on Italian soil at the beginning of September.
The last round of the season 2022 was hosted by the Falkensteiner premium Camping in Zadar (Croatia), it was truly an exceptional battle until the end.
The UIM MotoSurf WorldCup hasn't announced its plans for the 2023 campaign yet, but we hope that in February we will find out the preliminary schedule and the list of the countries which will host the event.
